Tax Deductible Receipts to Donors
Checks or Money Orders must be made out to Karl's Kids Program, Inc. or Karl's Kids Program
Checks or Money Orders made out to a Project or Activity of KsKs will be returned to donor. The bank will accept only paper instruments made out to organization which holds bank account.
KsKs will send an automatic written acknowledgment for any check or money order of $25.00 (twenty-five dollars) or more. For a form showing a donation under $25.00 the donor must include a written request for such including their address along with the check or money order.

Place on the memo line of the instrument a particular project or activity if there is any. Any with nothing written in the memo line will be subject to going into general funding of the Program.
KsKs also gives the option to use PayPal. Our PayPal account is firstname.lastname@example.org
PayPal allows the donor to print out their receipt directly upon making the payment.
KsKs will send an automatic written acknowledgment for any PayPal donation of $250.00 (two hundred fifty dollars) or more. For a form showing a donation under $250.00 the donor must include such a request while making their donation.

The organization must be a 501(c) organization in order for the donor to be able to claim a deduction on their taxes. Many people think they can take a deduction if the organization is a non-profit only. Tax deductions are only for donors of organizations that have been granted this status by the IRS.
